Tattered Paws and Golden Hearts Rescue (TPGHR) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit that was formed early in 2018 when its founder realized that there was an immense need for additional awareness and support for dogs in need of medical attention, safety, foster homes, adoption, transportation, flight buddies, and financial support. The rescue is 100% volunteer-based and donor-funded. Our US team partners with a small team of volunteers and an organization called HEPAD in Türkiye, all of whom work tirelessly to care for 1000+ dogs (of all breeds) in a sanctuary known as The Garden. TPGHR also regularly pulls dogs from high-risk shelters in the United States. Since our formation we have placed more than 1,000 dogs with their forever families!
