Cause Description:
Founded in 2006, BullyingCanada is a free bilingual donor- funded 24/7/365 national support service that counsels and assists bullied children and youth until we find a way to bring an end to their being bullied, a process that typically takes between 2 weeks to a year. Our volunteer Support Responders and professional counsellors make one-on-one connections with kids by phone, texting, online chat and email. In 2021, we handled a record 787,035 requests for help – 6.2 times more than in pre- COVID 2019. We’ve also delivered 4,302 educational presentations across Canada on bullying prevention. Last year, BullyingCanada.ca, available in 104 languages, was visited more than 53 million times.
