The Animal Rescue Coaliton (ARC) is a consortium of animal welfare groups in Sarasota County, Florida working together to end the killing of adoptable companion animals. ARC Initiatives include: a mobile spay/neuter clinic; an "Open Door" campaign to reduce unreasonable housing restrictions against pets - especially for seniors; a Pet HelpLine; support for a State license plate to support animal welfare activities; and technical support to animal welfare organizations to improve data collection and reporting .
