Nursing Students Without Borders promotes health empowerment through education, builds networks to access health care resources, and distributes material donations to populations in need while expanding the perspective of the nursing student and collaborating with community members
The purpose of the group is to establish national and international connections by providing an opportunity for University of Massachusetts Lowell nursing students to travel abroad and experience other facets of the nursing profession beyond the clinical setting.
Nursing Students Without Borders also seeks to promote a better understanding of how to provide culturally competent care.
